Basic:- £70,000 + Car or Allowance + Bonus
Based:- Glasgow
Hybrid working:- 2/3 days in the office / 2/3 days working from home
Working on some of the largest Energy and Power projects in Scotland for the next 10 years. The perfect chance to transfer from another Tier 1 Contractor in the Infrastructure or Construction sector into the Power and Energy sector.
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Procurement Manager to join our team on the Power frameworks, supporting the delivery of a range of exciting power transmission schemes. Delivering £3 billion of projects over the next 5 years, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility within a major infrastructure framework.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end subcontract and materials procurement processes, ensuring best practice, best value, and alignment with programme requirements.
- Lead procurement activities including EOI, PQQ, ITT, contractor scoring, and contract awards.
- Work directly with the client on project pipelines and future procurement strategies.
- Own and update procurement schedules, reporting accurately on buying gains and losses.
- Lead a small team of Senior Buyers / Buyers who will manage the day-to-day project-specific activities.
- Support work-winning efforts through tender inputs, procurement strategies, supplier selection, and relevant meetings.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
• Previously worked as a Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager within the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Proven internal and external stakeholder management, handling multiple projects or framework agreements.
Must be eligible to work in the UK and living within commuting distance of Glasgow.
