About Us
We are a registered Charity who help vulnerable girls and young women of school age, who have experienced challenges in their lives. We encourage them to explore their behaviours, attitudes and responses – and share tools that can support them to regulate their emotions, overcome barriers and achieve the goals they set themselves.
Our programmes are based on three simple words: “encourage, enthuse and empower”- we are committed to providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities, and capabilities, and grow their self-awareness, confidence and self-esteem.
The Role
Our facilitators deliver a range of group work programmes and 121 coaching aimed at supporting the wellbeing, mental health and aspiration of young women. This excellent opportunity involves working with a range of young people from different backgrounds which will be both challenging and rewarding. You will be given training to deliver our programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- To train and deliver group work programmes for young people as outlined in our programmes
- Participate in the preparation and planning of programmes.
- Provide post programme reports on delegates’ progress.
- Provide guidance on suitability to undertake programmes.
- Contribute to the review of programmes including content and the skills required to deliver these programmes.
- Ensure compliance with appropriate legislation and the organisations policies and procedures.
Candidates will ideally have experienced similar challenges to the young women we work with.

We are looking for candidates experienced in
- Facilitation/Group counselling skills/ track record of running group work programmes. Experience of working with young people would be advantageous.
- Highly effective inter-personal and communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively, cooperatively and flexibly with others both on a 1:1 basis and as part of a team.
- Ability to learn and develop from feedback about performance.
Desirable
- Qualification in group work, coaching or training.
The ideal candidate will
- Have well developed values.
- Be sensitive to group dynamics.
- An ability to stimulate groups and individuals to participate fully in the programme.
- Be able to demonstrate self-control, self-awareness and be able to cope well under pressure.
Additional information
- Each programme is delivered over a 6- 8-week period – facilitators are expected to commit to delivering the full length of the programme.
- Programmes are currently being delivered in schools, during term time and school hours, and out in the community, so there may be reasonable requests for evening working at times.
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain a disclosure & barring check before the start of their contract and have read and be familiar with our Child Protection Policy.
