Lead Product Manager

Overview

In this role you lead the Product Management discipline for UKRI, driving value through user-centered digital services. You shape and communicate strategic roadmaps for Funding Platforms and collaborate with CIO and business Product Managers to deliver aligned outcomes. You will promote best practices, mentor teams, and balance user needs with strategy and delivery to create tangible benefits. Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic roadmap for UKRI Funding Platforms
• Provide product leadership across Funding Platform projects and services
• Collaborate with user-centered design teams to explore problems and craft solutions
• Organise and lead Design Sprints and workshops to align value, feasibility and outcomes
• Develop and run the UKRI Product Management Community of Practice
• Oversee service delivery activities within the Funding Platforms portfolio
• Coach and mentor Product Managers at all levels, including business service owners and contractors

Key requirements

• Expert practitioner in Product Management with relevant qualifications
• Experience designing and leading workshops to align stakeholders
• Experience delivering digital services to the GDS standard
• Ability to manage, influence, challenge, and mentor team members
• Proven experience working with user-centered design teams to solve business problems
• Evidence of delivering outcomes with defined benefits representing value for money
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• High levels of accountability in complex decisions and delivery
