Job Description

Our client, a welcoming Church of England primary school in the Wirral, Merseyside, is seeking a caring and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to support children’s learning and development within a nurturing village school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting individual children with their learning activities to ensure engagement and understanding
• Assisting small groups of pupils to promote inclusive and effective learning experiences
• Helping during whole-class lessons and activities to facilitate smooth classroom operation
• Supervising break and lunchtimes, ensuring children’s safety and well-being
• Assisting with serving lunches and maintaining a positive, supportive environment throughout the school day

Requirements & Qualifications

• A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning
• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
• Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK
• Strong communication skills and a warm, encouraging approach to children and colleagues
