Security Service Engineer

Overview

In this role you will install, configure and maintain electronic security systems such as CCTV, access control and intruder alarms to ensure reliable, compliant operation. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and provide clear guidance on system functionality. You’ll manage service visits, health checks, and documentation to uphold safety standards and minimize downtime. This position offers hands-on work with evolving security technologies and a focus on delivering high-quality support. You will contribute to client security and satisfaction by keeping systems secure and operational.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, commission and maintain electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and video entry
• Perform routine maintenance, reactive maintenance and system health checks for optimal performance and safety compliance
• Diagnose and repair faults to minimize downtime and maintain client security
• Respond to service calls and emergencies with on-site support
• Provide technical guidance to clients on system operation
• Keep accurate records of service visits, maintenance reports, and fault resolutions
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians and subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery
• Ensure work complies with legislation, codes of practice and company procedures
• Stay updated with emerging security technologies through continuous learning
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle in good condition
• Adhere to health and safety policies and promote a safe working environment
