Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic Secondary Maths Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to a learner in Halton.

This is an opportunity for a tutor who can make Maths approachable and engaging while providing structured support based around the learner’s individual starting point and targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 Maths tuition
• Support KS3 and/or GCSE-level learning
• Identify gaps in mathematical knowledge
• Create engaging and appropriately challenging sessions
• Develop problem-solving and independent learning skills
• Build learner confidence
• Review progress and adapt tuition accordingly

Requirements

• Strong Maths subject knowledge
• Experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged learners
• GCSE Maths teaching experience desirable
• Ability to explain concepts clearly
• Patient, encouraging and flexible approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to Work in the UK
• Two professional child-related references
