Artemis Human Capital are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing business as they appoint an experienced Finance Manager to join their team in Newry. This is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, while playing a key role in financial planning, commercial analysis, cash management and strategic decision-making.

The Job

• Take full ownership of the operational finance function, overseeing month-end, reconciliations, payables, receivables and financial controls.
• Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high standards of accuracy, performance and compliance.
• Own cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, banking relationships, financing facilities and working capital.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, KPIs and variance analysis to senior leadership.
• Lead project and commercial analysis, including profitability, stock valuations, WIP and project variances.
• Oversee UK and ROI statutory compliance, including VAT, CIS and RCT, while managing the year-end audit process.

The Person

• Fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience managing or supervising a finance team.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience across management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Excellent understanding of UK and Irish taxation and statutory compliance requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, data analysis and ideally macros, with experience using ERP/accounting systems.
• Commercially minded, hands-on and confident communicator with the ability to provide meaningful financial insight to senior stakeholders.
