Sussex Hospice Alliance Project Manager – St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Eastbourne
The Sussex Hospices Alliance is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery and evaluation of a Palliative Virtual Wards pilot project. This role will help demonstrate the impact of hospice specialist input within integrated neighbourhood care, improving outcomes for patients and benefits for the wider health and care system.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence the development of palliative and end of life care, supporting sustainable and equitable access to services.
Working with clinical, finance and data teams, Surrey and Sussex system partners, and service users, you will coordinate the pilot across multiple organisations and lead a robust evaluation.
You will oversee project delivery, governance, risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting, and also help to shape future service developments beyond the pilot.
We’re looking for someone with a strong track record in delivering transformational change, excellent project management skills, and the ability to build effective partnerships across organisations. This is a one year fixed-term opportunity funded by the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance and hosted by St Wiifrids Hospice, Eastbourne.
The Sussex Hospice Alliance is a group of six hospices in Sussex that work together and have signed up to a formal agreement through a memorandum of understanding. These hospices provide care and support to people who are nearing the end of their lives. By joining forces, they share their knowledge and resources to make sure they can offer the best possible care to patients and families. Each hospice still looks after its local community, but they work closely together to support each other when needed.
