Front End developer

Overview

In this role you will contribute to building and improving modern Python-based web applications, spanning backend services and React/Vite frontends. You will work with engineering teams to raise reliability, CI/CD maturity, observability, security, and tooling. You will operate across cloud deployments, primarily on Azure, with Docker-based workflows and scalable platforms. The role suits someone who enjoys bridging development, cloud, and platform engineering to deliver real business value. This is an opportunity to influence architecture and shape engineering patterns in a cross-functional team at Talan UK.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and enhance modern Python-based web applications
• Work across Python services and React/Vite frontends
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve reliability, CI/CD, observability, security and developer tooling

Key requirements

• Strong Python web application development experience
• React and modern JavaScript tooling, ideally Vite
• Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Azure cloud experience essential; AWS a bonus
• Good knowledge of Linux, networking, security and observability
• Experience supporting scalable application platforms and cloud deployments
• Able to work independently and establish reusable engineering patterns and best practices
