DevOps Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design, build, and maintain secure Azure environments for mission-critical defence systems. You work within an Agile delivery team to deliver scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure using modern DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code. You will contribute across architecture, implementation, and automation to support secure, available services. This is a chance to impact high-stakes projects with cutting-edge cloud techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and support secure Azure cloud infrastructure
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and ARM Templates
• Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and platform services
• Automate deployments and operational processes using Python and PowerShell
• Manage Azure networking, security, monitoring, alerting, VNets, and Private Endpoints
• Support Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Data Factory solutions
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders across complex defence programmes

Key requirements

• Strong Azure cloud infrastructure experience
• Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Functions, ADF, VNets, and Private Endpoints
• Terraform and ARM Template expertise
• Azure DevOps experience including Repos, Boards, Artifacts, Pipelines, and YAML
• Python and PowerShell scripting skills
• Experience working within Agile and CI/CD environments
• Strong understanding of secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure design
