Overview

In this role you will drive the commercial agenda for the Diageo portfolio in North Manchester, partnering with top outlets to secure distribution and pouring agreements. You’ll lead cross-functional activation and coach regional team members to execute brand plans, delivering ROI and annual targets. You’ll grow the business by winning listings, strengthening customer relationships, and coordinating world-class activations. This is a chance to shape on-trade growth for iconic brands like Smirnoff, Guinness, and Tanqueray in a dynamic, target-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and win new business opportunities across outlets to secure distribution and pouring agreements for the full Diageo portfolio
  • Coordinate performance across the area with supporting roles (Business Development Executive, Brand Activation Ambassador, Key Account Manager, Quality Executive)
  • Deliver ROI through contractual agreements, manage spend, and forecast activity with key customers
  • Execute the full-year operating plan (FY AOP) in line with field sales ambition
  • Develop and manage customer relationships across the account base
  • Determine ownership of new business opportunities within the team
  • Own Route to Market (RTM) relationships for the area
  • Track in-outlet performance and execution against standards (CRM where deployed)
  • Ensure Guinness Draught quality and serve standards with support from the Quality Executive

Key requirements

  • On Trade experience in a sales/activation role or outlet management
  • Strong relationship-building with customers and route-to-market knowledge
  • Commercial competence in ROI, forecasting, and investment decisions
  • Knowledge of the local area’s trade and RTM relationships
  • Target-driven mindset with ambition to excel in a challenging environment
  • Team coaching capability and regional leadership involvement
