Associate Software Developer

Overview

In this role you will design and build high-quality software within established timelines, following R&D standards. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional requirements and remain secure, scalable, and well-documented. You will contribute across the full development life cycle, including testing and performance. The position sits in the R&D Decisioning team working on an industry-leading portfolio, with emphasis on quality, security, and impact. Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable software within timelines following R&D practices
• Collaborate with managers, developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to meet functional requirements
• Participate in scoping and scheduling, tracking progress and raising blockers
• Ensure quality via functional, unit, and performance testing and coordinate test plan reviews
• Maintain code life cycle ownership including internal and external support
• Produce design and technical documentation with technical writers
• Adhere to security policies to support secure software development goals
• Demonstrate curiosity, authenticity, and accountability in work processes

Key requirements

• Some experience in software development/programming
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Interest in technology and coding with evidence of programming experience
• Self-starter with creativity, initiative and self-management
• Desire to broaden skills across disciplines (development, services, analytics)
• Good interpersonal, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work within a team
• Proof of Right to work in the UK
