Senior RF Test Engineer

Overview

In this role you will own RF measurement, characterisation and validation across advanced modules and systems to verify performance and drive alignment between design, simulation and hardware. You’ll work closely with RF design and systems teams, leading measurement activities and shaping test methodologies to improve accuracy, repeatability and lab practices. This hands-on, lab-focused position offers the chance to tackle complex RF challenges, while scaling test infrastructure to support fast, high-quality product development. You will contribute to a mission of simplifying RF front-end architectures for better global connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF characterisation and validation across modules and systems
• Design and maintain repeatable RF test setups for product evaluation
• Perform and analyse 3GPP-aligned RF measurements (LTE and/or NR)
• Provide measurement-driven feedback to RF design and systems teams
• Develop automated RF test frameworks and measurement scripts (Python, MATLAB or similar)
• Improve RF measurement methodologies, lab practices, and documentation standards
• Troubleshoot complex RF test setups and hardware issues during development
• Support design reviews with measurement insights and performance analysis
• Maintain RF lab infrastructure including equipment calibration and measurement workflows

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related discipline
• Strong practical experience in RF testing, characterisation, and validation
• Experience performing RF measurements for cellular systems (LTE and/or NR)
• Strong understanding of RF fundamentals including S-parameters, impedance matching, gain, noise figure, and linearity
• Hands-on experience using RF lab equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analysers, and signal generators
• Experience developing automated test setups and measurement scripts
• Ability to interpret RF schematics, debug hardware, and analyse RF system behaviour
• Experience maintaining RF lab environments and test infrastructure
• Previous experience leading measurement activities or mentoring engineers would be beneficial
