Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidiscipline engineering teams to deliver safe, compliant designs
• Define engineering delivery strategies and maintain cost, scope, and schedule baselines
• Provide technical direction and approve engineering solutions and outputs
• Ensure compliance with UK regulations, legislation, standards, and internal processes
• Support bids and business-winning activities by preparing technical proposals
• Identify and mitigate risks, implementing recovery plans as necessary
• Engage with internal teams, clients, and the supply chain for integrated project planning
• Foster a collaborative culture and mentor team members to develop capability

Key requirements

• Professionally registered engineer (or working towards)
• Degree-level qualification (Level 6) in a relevant discipline
• Proven track record in managing engineering delivery and leading teams
• Strong knowledge of UK engineering legislation (e.g., CDM, PUWER, Machinery Directive)
• Experience managing complex projects, including budgets and schedules
• Ability to provide technical assurance and ensure design compliance
