DevOps Engineer (Cleanroom Ransomware recovery)

Overview

In this contract role, you design, build and automate a secure ransomware recovery environment to quickly recover critical banking systems. You work within a compact, international team to create ring-fenced infrastructure, enabling analysis, cleansing and restoration of systems after incidents. The project scales to thousands of virtual machines and petabytes of data across Europe and the Americas, leveraging cutting-edge security and automation. You drive resilience and automation to protect essential banking services.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure components for a secure recovery environment
• Build and maintain an autonomous ransomware recovery setup
• Automate and test infrastructure and engineering applications
• Protect and recover application data and infrastructure configuration
• Support compute, storage, backup, archive and converged environments
• Improve infrastructure security, recovery processes and automation
• Manage incidents, problems and changes within the Cleanroom
• Ensure systems meet required security standards
• Collaborate with a small international team of infrastructure and security specialists

Key requirements

• Strong experience with VMware Aria Automation
• Expert-level JavaScript skills
• Background in infrastructure automation, security, recovery or resilience
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure environments
• Desirable: Terraform, Ansible
