Accounting Manager – UK

Overview

In this role you will oversee UK financial reporting and lead global accounting initiatives within Parallel Wireless. You’ll partner with UK HR and manage external accountants to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant statements while contributing to cross‑entity close improvements. The position blends UK governance with global process automation and policy design. You will work across teams to drive efficiency, controls, and funding visibility in a rapidly evolving telecom environment. This is a hands-on role with a clear impact on financial integrity and strategic accounting initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own global accounting areas and drive cross‑entity initiatives within the Global Accounting team
• Support global month‑end and quarter‑end close with consistent accounting treatments
• Design and document global accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Assist with global audit and statutory reporting across entities
• Identify and implement automation and system improvements to streamline the global close
• Direct UK close through outside accountants, ensuring UK statutory reporting and audits
• Oversee UK accounts payable, PO governance, and corporate card controls
• Lead UK payroll accounting support and HR compensation accounting
• Monitor UK tax/regulatory changes and maintain UK accounting policies and internal controls
• Drive UK process improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including managing outside accountants or staff
• Experience in multinational group structures; UK GAAP (FRS 102), Companies House, HMRC tax compliance
• Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity group reporting
• Strong Excel skills; NetSuite or similar ERP experience
• Excellent stakeholder management to liaise with external accountants, UK HR, and US accounting leadership
• Interest in modernizing accounting through automation and AI tools
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams on strategic initiatives
