Reliability Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead reliability testing for high-temperature electronic hybrids, shaping products from design through production. You will conduct stress, life, and failure analyses to predict lifespan and drive improvements. You will collaborate across design, manufacturing, and QA to ensure robust, compliant solutions, and you will communicate findings to both internal teams and customers. Your work will focus on advancing reliability through ALT/HALT testing, DFMEA, and data-driven insights that support product success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute reliability test plans for high-temperature hybrids and components
• Perform stress analysis, life testing, and failure mode analysis; conduct ALT and HALT to predict product lifespan
• Identify failure mechanisms (e.g., thermal fatigue, electromigration, oxidation) and propose design improvements
• Implement Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) for electronic hybrids
• Collaborate with design teams and participate in product development reviews with customers
• Qualify materials and components with suppliers for extreme conditions; recommend suitable materials and components
• Analyze test data to identify trends and improve product reliability; develop reports for stakeholders
• Use reliability prediction models (Arrhenius, Weibull) to estimate lifetimes
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., MIL-STDs) and stay updated on methods
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and QA teams to address reliability issues; lead continuous improvement activities
• Coordinate with external suppliers and partners for testing, analysis, and research
