Business Development Analyst

Overview

In this role you will generate insights from data to support Sompo’s UK Distribution leadership. You will produce accurate data sets, recurring and ad hoc reports, and perform analyses to identify trends and opportunities. You will collaborate with underwriting and broker teams to understand data drivers and stakeholder needs, and help develop systems for consistent data sharing across offices. You will build relationships with key stakeholders and support strategic broker initiatives to improve Sompo’s market proposition.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate data sets for stakeholders and deliver regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
• Analyze data to identify trends in internal and external markets
• Liaise with underwriting to understand data drivers and challenges
• Provide monthly broker data commentary by line of business
• Support regional leadership with data split between offices
• Coordinate invoicing information for broker agreements and facilities
• Foster and manage relationships with Distribution and Underwriter stakeholders
• Ensure data accuracy and system usability for reporting and forecasting
• Handle day-to-day queries from Underwriters and Brokers
• Monitor broker share of wallet and quarterly ranking
• Update broker pipeline lists for distribution and underwriting teams
• Assess global broker surveys and develop strategic market plans
• Report on broker relationship performance via KPI metrics
• Research data to support product marketing and consumer insights
