We’re working with a growing renewables business in Cardiff that is looking for a Solar Project Manager to take ownership of commercial and utility-scale renewable energy projects across Wales.
You don’t necessarily need to already be a Project Manager.
If you’ve got a strong electrical background, experience leading teams or sites, and you’re ready to take on greater responsibility, this role offers a genuine route into project leadership.
⚡ What you’ll be working on
You’ll oversee projects involving:
☀️ Solar PV
Battery Energy Storage Systems
🚗 EV Charging Infrastructure
From planning through to completion, you’ll coordinate the people, resources and programme needed to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing projects from inception through to completion
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and electrical installers
• Planning programmes, procurement and project resources
• Managing budgets, reporting and client communication
• Ensuring electrical, quality and certification requirements are met
• Driving health & safety across project sites
• Building relationships with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders
Who could this suit?
We’re particularly interested in speaking with:
Senior Electricians | Solar Supervisors | Electrical Supervisors | Renewables Engineers | Electrical Project Coordinators | Existing Project Managers
You’ll ideally have:
✔️ Qualified Electrician status
✔️ Strong electrical knowledge
✔️ Experience in solar, electrical installations, renewables or a related sector
✔️ Previous supervisory, site leadership or project experience
✔️ Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification and/or relevant renewable energy qualifications
✔️ SMSTS / SSSTS, or willingness to obtain
✔️ Strong organisation and communication skills
✔️ Full UK driving licence
