ROLE – Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical)

TERM – Permanent

LOCATION – Oxfordshire

SALARY- Competitive, dependent on experience

My client is an industry leader within the food and pharmaceutical sectors, delivering bespoke solutions to manufacturers worldwide. They are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Oxfordshire on a permanent basis.

The Maintenance Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Good commercial electrical knowledge, with experience in mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Previous experience working within an industrial manufacturing environment
• Experience within the food industry would be preferred
• Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Full UK driving licence
• Forklift licence preferred, or willingness to obtain one
• Willingness to travel worldwide, including staying away from home and occasional weekend/evening work
• Able to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to fault finding
• Flexible and willing to adapt to the changing demands of the business
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to assess new information, tackle challenges quickly and develop practical solutions

The Maintenance Engineer role will involve:

• Assembling and testing equipment prior to dispatch
• Installing and commissioning equipment at customer factory sites worldwide
• Testing and repairing returned faulty equipment
• Assisting with trials of customer and potential customer products and coatings
• Assisting with the development of equipment designs and product improvements
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects and customer requirements
• Travelling internationally to customer sites and supporting equipment installations and commissioning
