Principal

We’re partnering with an established early-stage venture capital investor looking to add a Principal to its exceptional London investment team.

This is a genuine 360° investment role, offering the opportunity to work across the full investment lifecycle from originating and assessing new opportunities through to execution and ongoing portfolio support.

The fund invests at the early stages of a company’s journey seed-series A, with a particular focus on consumer businesses and the founders building the next generation of category-defining brands and platforms.

As Principal, you’ll take a leading role across:

• Sourcing and developing relationships with founders, entrepreneurs and the wider venture ecosystem
• Assessing new investment opportunities and developing investment theses
• Leading due diligence, commercial analysis and investment processes
• Preparing and presenting investment recommendations
• Negotiating and supporting transactions through to completion
• Working closely with founders and management teams across the existing portfolio
• Supporting portfolio companies on strategy, growth, fundraising and key business decisions
• Building relationships across the wider consumer, VC and entrepreneurial ecosystem
• Playing an active role in the continued development of the fund and its investment strategy

We’re particularly interested in speaking with investors who have:

• A strong track record within early-stage venture capital
• Meaningful experience investing in consumer tech businesses
• Experience owning or leading investment processes from sourcing through to completion
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess both businesses and founders
• An established network across the consumer and venture ecosystem
• The credibility and interpersonal skills to work closely with founders and senior leadership teams
• A genuine interest in early-stage investing and helping ambitious businesses scale
