Duties
- Safely operate a van or commercial vehicle to deliver parcels across designated routes
- Load and unload packages with care, including handling heavy lifting when necessary
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery details or resolve issues
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with traffic laws
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records
- Follow all safety procedures and traffic regulations to ensure a secure working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably with van or commercial vehicle experience
- Valid driver’s license suitable for operating a van or commercial vehicle in your region
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading parcels
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Warehouse experience is a plus, especially familiarity with handling packages and inventory management
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic laws, and safety protocols is highly desirable
