Graduate / Junior Energy Analyst, Belfast with Hybrid

Our client is a key player in the energy infrastructure sector in Northern Ireland and seeking to appoint their new graduate or early-career Analyst to join their Energy Transition team.
Appointment will be at Graduate Analyst or Analyst level, depending on experience and demonstrated capability. You will support policy development and thought leadership across Northern Irelands rapidly evolving energy transition, helping ensure decisions serve consumers long-term interests while advancing decarbonisation and security of supply.
What youll do;
- Research and critically assess energy policy, consultancy reports and industry developments
- Use Excel and other tools to build evidence-based quantitative analysis and clearly communicate findings
- Support consultation responses, policy papers, presentations and external communications
- Engage with government, regulators, network operators and wider industry stakeholders to build consensus
- Contribute to work on hydrogen, biomethane, interconnection, energy storage, offshore grids, geothermal energy and whole-system planning
- Manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality work to deadlines
What we are looking for
- Degree educated with 2.1 or above in a relevant discipline
- Strong numerical and analytical aptitude, intellectual curiosity and sound critical judgement.
- The ability to absorb complex information and explain it clearly to technical and non-technical audience
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisation, integrity and collaborative working skills
- Motivation to learn and develop expertise in energy transition policy; previous energy-sector experience is not essential
- Experience using Excel or other software to analyse data; strategic thinking; and collaborative project experience is desirable
