Looking for a Class 1 driving job where you can be home every evening and still have your Friday afternoon?
Ashton Recruitment are currently recruiting for a permanent HGV 1 Driver based on Airport Road, Belfast, working across Northern Ireland.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Class 1 driver who wants regular Monday-Friday hours, no night shifts and a 1:30pm finish every Friday.

- £33,699.12 per year
- Permanent position
- Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am-1:30pm
- Home every evening
- No night shifts

?? The role
You’ll be responsible for safely transporting materials between sites across Northern Ireland, including supporting a major aerospace operation.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Driving a Class 1 vehicle across Northern Ireland
- Transporting materials between sites
- Loading and unloading aerospace parts
- Yard shunting when required
- Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely
- Following all relevant health & safety procedures
What we’re looking for
- Valid UK C+E / Class 1 licence
- Minimum 1 year’s HGV 1 driving experience
- Valid CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph
- Reliable and safety-conscious
- Comfortable with some loading/unloading and yard work
Experience with oversized loads would be advantageous but is not essential.
