Temporary Dispatch Operative – Antrim
Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are currently recruiting a Temporary Dispatch Operative to Provide support and assistance within the Dispatch & Stores areas in the Factory.
Main duties:
- Packing and wrapping items in preparation for dispatch and loading vans/lorries.
- Making pallets as required and using barcode scanners & software to label for site.
- Operation of forklift truck and other driving duties as required including local van pickups and drop offs.
- Ensuring that quality standards are met and maintained and carrying out quality checks with use of iPad application.
- Comply with applicable environmental and health and safety regulations, policies and procedures.
- Carrying out weekly vehicle checks using a mobile application and reporting any defects found.
- Using a mobile application to accurately record materials used in the packing process.
- General labouring duties including yard maintenance and tidying.
- Providing support within the stores area, including loading & offloading and helping load waste timber into the biomass burner.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Ability to work with minimum instruction
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team or on your own as and when required
- Experience with use of Microsoft office .
