Building Maintenance Technician

At Avondale Foods Ltd we are looking for a building Maintenance Technician to contribute to essential services across our site. As a department, Maintenance provide reactive maintenance, preventative maintenance, site service management and project delivery resources to the business.

What you will do:

• General worklist tasks keeping factory fabrication to an audit ready standard including joinery and wall panel work, flooring repairs, drainage, doors and locks/keys.
• Collect storm water samples.
• Work on engineering projects (major CAPEX and smaller types).
• Change AHUs and storm water interceptor filters.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace while performing tasks.
• Complete work records for all tasks.
• Work in a safe and responsible manner in compliance with company food Safety and H&S policies and procedures.
• To be/become knowledgeable in all aspects of factory fabrication.

Essential Criteria:

• Multi-skilled building work knowledge/competence (joinery, sheet metalwork, mechanical, use of power tools/accessories etc).
• Ability to use initiative to work independently or as part of a team to achieve results.
• An ability to work under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Cost consciousness.
