A well-established and growing organisation based in Herne Bay, Kent is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Buyer to join their busy procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity for a purchasing professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure goods and services in line with company requirements.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage stock levels and ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Work closely with internal departments to forecast purchasing requirements.
• Process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience within a Buyer, Purchasing or Procurement role.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working within manufacturing, distribution, or commercial environments is advantageous.
