About the role

We have a unique opportunity for additional support workers to join our team to provide practical support for work led and experience-based learning for adults with disabilities.

The Employability Support Workers support individuals to gain the skills and experience to enable them to move to voluntary or paid work and provide practical support, training, and encouragement so that trainees can build on their own skills and abilities whilst respecting their individual needs and choices.

The role will be on a relief basis to cover stafff absences with working hours between 8.50am – 4pm Monday to Friday (some flexibility may be required depending on service need).

Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. As this is a relief post on a zero-hours contract, it does not meet the salary or eligibility requirements for sponsorship.

Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

You will be able to demonstrate skills with baking cakes and pastries as this is a large part of the role and will be tested as part of the interview.

Please use your supporting statement to outline how your skills and experience meet the Essential Criteria outlined in the Job description/Person specification attached to this vacancy. Please also state if you have a preference on location.
