Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Central London. The Quantity Surveyor will manage cost planning and control throughout the project lifecycle, from initial estimates and budget development to final accounts. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), monitoring project costs, tracking and estimating variations, and producing accurate cost reports for internal and external stakeholders. The role involves working closely with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure value for money, contract compliance, and timely financial information. The Quantity Surveyor will also support tender preparation, risk analysis, and contribute to continual improvements in cost management processes.
Qualifications
- Strong cost planning and cost management skills, including experience in developing budgets and maintaining cost control.
- Practical experience with BOQ preparation, measurement, and valuation of fit-out works.
- Practical experience with estimating design variations, site changes, and abortive works.
- Ability to produce clear and accurate cost reporting, including financial tracking and variance analysis.
- Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Experience of managing JCT contracts, procurement methods, and industry standards.
- Proficiency with quantity surveying softwares Bluebeam Revu, and strong MS Excel skills.
- Effective analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
