This is a genuine build-and-lead opportunity for an ambitious Court of Protection solicitor who wants the autonomy, financial backing and commercial opportunity to create a team and develop a significant London practice.
The firm is prepared to provide substantial financial investment to support the growth of the London team, including the recruitment of additional solicitors and support staff as the practice develops. You won’t simply be joining an established team — you’ll have the remit to build one.
Working with the firm’s existing leadership and regional offices, you’ll have the freedom and support to develop the London Court of Protection offering, grow your client base and shape the future direction of the practice. And importantly, the package includes an interesting and potentially significant bonus opportunity, designed to recognise the commercial success and growth you help generate.
What you’ll be doing
This is a role where you’ll have plenty of scope to make your mark. You’ll be trusted to help shape the London Court of Protection offering and, with the firm’s backing, build a team around you.
You’ll be:
- Growing the Court of Protection practice in Central London and helping put the firm firmly on the map
- Building your own team, with the financial backing to bring in talented lawyers and support staff as the practice grows
- Continuing to manage an interesting, high-quality caseload, while developing the wider practice
- Building strong relationships with professional referrers, families, deputies and other key contacts
- Growing your London client base and professional network
- Working closely with the firm’s 12 regional offices, making the most of the expertise and relationships already within the business
- Having a real say in the culture, structure and direction of the London team
- Helping shape the firm’s long-term Court of Protection strategy
- Ultimately, taking ownership of the London practice and building something you can genuinely call your own
You’ll also be:
- A Senior Associate or Partner looking for greater autonomy
- An experienced Court of Protection solicitor ready to take the next step
- Someone currently managing or mentoring a team
- A solicitor with strong professional/referrer relationships and a desire to develop them
- An ambitious practitioner who wants the opportunity to build a team with proper financial backing
- Previous experience of building a team is helpful, but the key is your ambition, Court of Protection expertise and appetite to grow a practice.
