This is an environment that rewards people who can build structure where it doesn’t yet exist and drive commercial output as the organisation scales.The RoleMobiltex is looking for a Product and Test Support Technician to create, maintain and control the documentation that supports the manufacturing of its hardware products, while providing hands-on support to hardware, firmware and mechanical engineers during testing, validation and prototype bring-up.Working closely with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams, you will translate engineering designs into clear, production-ready instructions, execute test and validation activities under engineering direction, and keep documentation current as products move from New Product Introduction (NPI) through to sustaining production.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport engineers in executing test plans, validation and prototype bring-up activitiesSupport testing, debugging and troubleshooting of hardware and firmware issues alongside engineers during developmentSupport investigations into Customer Reported Bugs (CRBs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs)Execute validation, functional, environmental and reliability tests under engineering direction and flag anomalies for engineering reviewRecord, organise and report test data and results in a clear, traceable formatSupport the timely delivery of projects in alignment with agreed engineering plans and prioritiesContribute to team effectiveness, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement effortsSupport delivery of engineering and product development objectives aligned with Mobiltex strategic prioritiesWork with manufacturing, quality and engineering teams to validate documentation accuracy on the production floorCreate and maintain production work instructions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly procedures and test/inspection proceduresMaintain document version control and revision history in line with company proceduresPrepare and process documentation for Engineering Change Orders (ECs) and NPI product releasesAssist with training production staff on new or revised proceduresMaintain production test fixtures and processesSupport troubleshooting and resolve manufacturing issuesRequirementsEssentialStrong technical writing and documentation skillsComfortable using basic lab/test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes and bench power suppliesProficiency with Microsoft Office and Confluence for documentationAbility to read schematics, PCB layouts and mechanical drawingsFamiliarity with electronics assembly and PCB assembly (PCBA) processesExperience with document control systemsBasic understanding of manufacturing quality processesAbility to follow test plans and validation procedures written by engineering and accurately record resultsAttention to detail and accuracyClear written and verbal communication skillsGood organisational and time management skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing and quality teamsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyDesirableFamiliarity with AltiumBasic understanding of embedded C/C++ systems and firmware conceptsUnderstanding of IPC standards and ISO 9001What’s In It For YouPrivate medical care after probationEnhanced company sick payFlexible annual leave, including the option to carry forward up to 5 daysUp to 5 additional personal leave days after probationEye test and glasses contributionAnnual wellness allowance after probationCompany pension scheme, including enhanced contributionsWhat’s next?
