My client, a leading force within aerospace manufacturing are on the hunt for a Lead Systems Engineer to join the team in the Cheltenham Office!
Role and Responsibilities – Lead Engineer
In this brand-new role for an ever-growing business, you will be responsible for leading the definition, development, integration and certification of advanced hydro & electro-mechanical actuation and control systems across the full systems-engineering lifecycle.
Other responsibilities include:
- Lead and influence supplier engineering teams; review and approve supplier analyses, design outputs, qualification evidence, and change proposals.
- Own the creation and control of system architectures, functional models, and interface definitions across mechanical, software, and electronics
- Own the system integration strategy, ensuring elements integrate with accuracy and controlled interfaces.
- Champion continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and tools.
Experience or Qualifications – Lead Engineer
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical/Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering
- Extensive engineering experience with aerospace actuation systems or high-integrity systems.
- Proven experience leading supplier technical activities.
- Experience with modelling/simulation tools and MBSE/SysML (Desirable)
Candidate must be a UK National, capable of obtaining BPSS or SC clearance due to projects of work being carried out in this role!
