Technical Product Manager – Terminal Application SDLC Tools

Overview

As Technical Product Manager for Terminal SDLC tooling, you will shape the next generation of developer tools that power Bloomberg Terminal delivery. You’ll own the end-to-end developer experience across the software lifecycle and drive adoption of AI-assisted development, automation, and modern workflows. You’ll collaborate across product, infrastructure, and engineering to improve velocity, quality, and reliability at scale. This is a high-impact role in a cross-functional environment that balances technical depth with business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the next-generation SDLC tooling strategy for the Terminal ecosystem
• Shape standards, workflows, and tooling to improve developer velocity, software quality, and reliability
• Build relationships with stakeholders, providing roadmap transparency and prioritization
• Advocate for broad adoption of SDLC best practices and tooling across engineering teams; measure adoption and impact
• Own intake, evaluation, and prioritization of tooling and workflow requests
• Balance developer experience, platform reliability, security, and modernization priorities to drive backlog decisions
• Review and prioritize relevant technical documentation, onboarding materials, and training resources

Key requirements

• 7+ years of experience in technical product management or senior engineering
• Experience building or owning developer tools, internal platforms, or SDLC systems used by engineers
• Proven track record of creating product visions and roadmaps, evaluating trade-offs, and managing releases
• Ability to work across teams to translate complex problems into milestones
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
• Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with engineers, SREs, security, other PMs, and senior management
