Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

In this role you will serve as the technical authority for critical datacenter electrical systems, partnering with commissioning and operations teams to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant infrastructure. You’ll contribute to a vast global datacenter portfolio, shaping core electrical performance and safety standards. You will work on testing, validation, and optimization to support continuous service for Microsoft’s cloud platforms. Responsibilities

• Test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems with commissioning teams
• Understand and manage datacenter electrical design and functionality
• Support 24×7 on-site datacenter operations and electrical infrastructure
• Act as technical authority for on-site operations related to large-scale electrical systems
• Coordinate maintenance and safety procedures to maintain highly redundant electrical designs
• Manage electrical infrastructures across multiple datacenters within the campus
• Foster a culture of safety, security, and compliance across datacenter activities

Key requirements

• In-depth technical engineering experience OR Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with engineering experience
• HV/LV formal qualification
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check and other security screenings
