Senior Software Engineer – .NET

Overview

In this role you will join the Acquisitions & Originations engineering team within Experian’s Credit & Verification Services to design, build and maintain scalable .NET services for a multi-client platform. You will work on reliable, real-time lending decisioning systems and contribute to modernisation towards cloud-native AWS architecture. The role emphasizes end-to-end delivery, collaboration with cross-functional partners, and mentoring junior developers. This is a chance to shape complex, configurable systems used by financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end across the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and post-release support
• Design, develop and maintain scalable C#/.NET services within a multi-client system ensuring changes are safe across client configurations
• Translate requirements into robust designs in collaboration with Technical Lead, Architects, BAs and Product Owners
• Maintain and improve automated test coverage to enable safe, frequent releases
• Contribute to and evolve CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins)
• Identify and remediate technical debt and support modernization towards cloud-native AWS architecture
• Mentor Intermediate and Junior developers and promote adoption of AI-assisted development tools

Key requirements

• Strong expertise in .NET Core/.NET Framework and C# with OO design and common patterns
• Experience across full SDLC, ideally for live production systems
• SQL Server / T-SQL experience including query optimization
• RESTful APIs design and microservice architectures
• Unit and integration testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest)
• Version control and CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins)
• Experience in Scrum/Agile teams and sprint ceremonies
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT) for code tasks
