Quality Assurance Supervisor

Overview

In Warrington, you will lead the QA team to uphold high quality standards across ingredients and production. You’ll partner with operations to embed a consistent quality culture and oversee audits, non-conformances, and QMS improvements. You’ll mentor the team, drive root-cause solutions, and ensure safe, efficient processes. This role combines hands-on quality oversight with cross-functional collaboration to support Gousto’s mission of delivering high-quality meals to customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the QA team’s daily roadmap
• Mentor and develop team through regular 1-to-1s, reviews, and rota/holiday management
• Collaborate with production to embed a visit-ready, everyday quality mindset
• Direct audits of production processes and ensure only high-quality raw materials enter customer boxes
• Coordinate non-conformance findings and track corrective actions with department managers
• Oversee Pick Line Quality Controllers to optimize replenishment and improve picking performance
• SupportTechnical System team in updating and creating robust QMS procedures
• Coordinate QA requirements for new raw materials, including shelf-life reviews and trials
• Champion site safety and environmental continuous improvements

Key requirements

• Proven QA experience in fast-paced environments (Food/E-commerce/Manufacturing preferred)
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and GMP standards; solid auditing experience
• Confident team player with ability to supervise a shift-based team
• Problem-solving under pressure with attention to detail and deadlines
• High computer literacy, especially Email, Excel, and Word
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to align with internal teams and external customers
