Software Engineer II

Overview

As a Software Engineer II in Public Cloud Enablement, you will help design, develop, and troubleshoot cloud-native components for scalable, secure financial technology. You’ll work with Go services on Kubernetes, contributing to AWS-based architecture and automation across the SDLC. You’ll leverage AI-assisted coding tools under governance to improve quality and speed. This role blends hands-on engineering with collaboration in a large, security-conscious team, offering growth in cloud capabilities and enterprise tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot basic software solutions within a defined architecture
• Write secure, high-quality code in at least one language with guidance
• Contribute to design and operation of resilient, scalable services on AWS
• Automate SDLC tasks to reduce manual toil
• Address code quality issues and validate with peer reviews and tests
• Use enterprise AI-assisted development tools to improve quality and productivity
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to enhance automation value
• Analyze basic data to drive troubleshooting and continuous improvement
• Participate in cloud technology communities and events

Key requirements

• Baseline knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes in a given discipline
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams with an inclusive, innovative culture
• Demonstrated ability to code in one or more languages
• Hands-on experience with enterprise AI-assisted development tools and ability to evaluate AI outputs
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data handling, resiliency, and security practices

• Proficiency with developmental toolsets
