Senior Financial Lines Claims Broker

Overview

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of Financial Lines claims with a focus on Professional Indemnity across domestic and international placements. You will drive claims from first notification to settlement, ensuring timely progression and high service levels. You will collaborate with clients, insurers, loss adjusters and legal representatives to define claims strategy and resolve coverage questions. You will also contribute technically and mentor colleagues to uphold best-practice standards within the claims function. Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Financial Lines claims with emphasis on Professional Indemnity
• handle claims from notification through settlement with efficient progression
• advise on claims strategy, coverage interpretation and resolution
• engage with clients, insurers, loss adjusters and legal representatives
• provide technical input and support to junior colleagues
• promote consistent delivery of best-practice standards in the claims function

Key requirements

• significant experience handling Professional Indemnity claims in the London Market
• understanding of the wider Financial Lines landscape
• ability to interpret policy wordings and assess coverage positions
• experience managing claims through to resolution
• strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• working knowledge of market systems such as ECF and CLASS
• ability to manage a busy, varied caseload
• ACII or progress towards it would be advantageous but not essential
