Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

In this role you will deliver civil design for water industry projects within a multidisciplinary team in Warrington. You will lead projects or work packages, provide technical direction, and mentor junior engineers from concept to completion. The position emphasizes safe, compliant design delivery, client relationships, and collaboration across disciplines. Responsibilities

• Produce and review design concepts, calculations, detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and technical docs
• Lead projects or work packages, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and standards
• Supervise and mentor junior designers and engineers
• Support professional development of team members through mentoring
• Assist with project budgets, resource planning, and financial tracking
• Prepare/ review feasibility studies, appraisals, assessments, and technical reports
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to craft practical engineering solutions
• Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System, Health & Safety, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain strong client relationships to support project delivery from concept to completion

Key requirements

• Strong technical background in water and wastewater non-infrastructure works
• Engineering background from related disciplines encouraged
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills; ability to produce clear, robust technical reports
• Proven ability to lead and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Strong project delivery skills with deadline-driven focus
