BEMS Support Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will support and maintain BMS systems across sites in the North East, driving energy efficiency and system reliability. You’ll work within the SSE Smart Buildings team to implement maintenance, upgrades and energy-reduction initiatives. You’ll collaborate with customers and partners, providing technical guidance and detailed onsite reporting. The position offers growth through training and cross-site exposure, with a flexible, on-call aspect to suit project demands.

Responsibilities

• Carry out BMS pre-planned maintenance, small upgrades and additional works
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns, including out-of-hours standby
• Identify system improvements to enhance energy performance and software enhancements
• Provide detailed, concise reports based on onsite activities

Key requirements

• Good technical experience in Siemens, Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC Building Controls
• Experience with Siemens Apogee advantageous (training provided)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain collaborative stakeholder relationships
• Agile working approach and flexibility to support an on-call rota
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to different sites
