Head of Supply Chain

Overview

As Senior Supply Chain Leader you will own the end-to-end S&OP process for Pet Drugs Online, aligning demand, supply, stock and working capital. You’ll lead planning managers to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time, while balancing revenue, cost and service. You’ll chair key review meetings and partner with Commercial, Finance and Logistics to keep the plan executable. This role supports the mission of making pet healthcare more accessible through efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the S&OP process from demand review to executive decision: monthly cycles and weekly checks
• Develop a unified demand forecast by product/category/time horizon and monitor accuracy
• Translate demand into supply, purchasing, stock and warehouse capacity plans with cost and risk awareness
• Set stock policies per product segment (service levels, safety stock, reorder points, quantities)
• Ensure stock accuracy and availability; oversee batch/expiry controls and root-cause fixes
• Manage supplier and carrier/3PL performance, contracts, SLAs, capacity and contingency plans
• Collaborate with Commercial on ranges/promotions, with Finance on budget and working capital, and with Goods In/Warehouse on inbound deliveries
• Build team capability, succession planning, and proactive issue detection to avoid rushed orders

Key requirements

• Senior supply chain leadership experience with end-to-end ownership of S&OP, demand and supply planning, purchasing and inventory
• Deep knowledge of forecast accuracy, inventory segmentation, safety stock, reorder logic and working capital
• Strong commercial/financial judgement and ability to quantify choices between revenue, margin, availability, cost and risk
• Confidence chairing cross-functional decision meetings and aligning stakeholders behind a single plan
• Highly numerate with pragmatic approach to control before technology is perfect
• Calm, credible style with willingness to raise uncomfortable facts early
