C# .net Developer – Insurance

Overview

In this role you will design, develop and support complex software in a small IT team within an insurance environment. You will work to align technology with business needs, deliver data-driven insights, and maintain critical applications across the stack. You’ll contribute to IT strategy in a fast-paced, agile setting and take ownership of key systems while collaborating with stakeholders. This is a hands-on role with a clear impact on reporting, analytics and system reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support internal applications and processes
• Analyse requirements and propose suitable tech solutions
• Document, support, and upgrade a range of applications
• Produce ad hoc reporting and analytics for the Data Warehouse
• Work collaboratively within a small team and take ownership of specific systems
• Communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the business
• Support Windows Server, SharePoint, and Office 365 environments

Key requirements

• 5–7 years of C#/.NET development experience
• Strong SQL Server experience (stored procedures, table design)
• Solid experience with Java/jQuery Web development, Web API, CSS, HTML/IIS
• Proficiency with Visual Studio and reporting tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Math background advantageous
• Microsoft Office including VBA and advanced Excel
• 2:1 in maths or computer science or similar
• Experience with SharePoint and data reporting
