synergistic formulations and advanced delivery systems. Our portfolio is sold in 30 markets across
Europe and Africa through a network of dedicated distribution partners. To support continued growth,
we are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager to take ownership of regulatory compliance across our
entire portfolio and all of our markets.
The role
You will be responsible for the regulatory integrity of every Terranova product, from raw material
selection to finished label, in every market where we sell. You will act as the central regulatory and
technical point of contact for our distributors, manufacturing partner and ingredient suppliers, giving
them the documentation, argumentation and guidance they need to register or notify our products
before authorities worldwide. Reporting to general manager, you will work closely with our technical,
sales, marketing and product development teams. You will join an ambitious, team-oriented group of
people who care about getting things right and moving fast.
Key responsibilities
Portfolio compliance
• Maintain regulatory status and documentation for the full Terranova portfolio: specifications, PIFs,
stability data, allergen/GMO/irradiation declarations and all other supplier composition
statements.
• Assess ingredients and formulations under Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 on Novel Foods.
• Review labels, claims and marketing materials against Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, Regulation
(EU) No 1169/2011, Directive 2002/46/EC.
• Oversee GPSR compliance (EU) 2023/988, for all sales channels.
Distributor and market support
• Act as the regulatory contact for all distribution partners, supporting product notifications,
registrations and renewals in EU and non-EU markets.
• Prepare technical argumentation and formal responses to competent authorities, such as
ministries of health and food safety agencies, when products are questioned, objected to or placed
under monitoring locally.
• Build a shared library of precedents, positions and documentation packages.
• Assess regulatory feasibility for new markets and advise on which products can be launched,
reformulated or relabelled.
Supplier and quality coordination
• Work with our manufacturer and ingredient suppliers to close documentation gaps early,
particularly for proprietary ingredients and delivery technologies.
• Investigate batch-level compliance issues, including out-of-specification results and inter-
laboratory discrepancies, and coordinate resolution.
Strategy and development
• Monitor regulatory developments, including EFSA opinions, Novel Food authorisations, botanical
and enzyme lists and national rule changes, and translate them into clear risks and actions for the
business.
• Provide regulatory input to new product development from concept stage.
• Support the sales and marketing teams whenever regulatory input is needed, such as reviewing
campaigns, claims, promotional materials, customer and distributor questions and product
presentations, so that commercial activities are both effective and compliant.the regulatory integrity of every Terranova product, from raw material selection to finished label, in every market where we sell. What we are looking for
• At least five years of experience in regulatory affairs or technical services for food supplements,
functional foods or a closely related sector.
• In-depth knowledge of EU food law, especially Novel Foods, nutrition and health claims and
labelling.
• A proven track record of preparing authority submissions and successfully handling objections or
information requests.
• The ability to interpret technical and scientific data, such as stability studies and bioavailability, and
turn it into clear, persuasive arguments.
• Experience supporting multiple markets simultaneously and working with external partners or
distributors.
• A degree in food science, nutrition, pharmacy, chemistry, biology or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and spoken English. Additional languages are an advantage.
• A structured, precise and pragmatic working style, with the confidence to take responsabilty and
propose practical solutions.
Nice to have
• Experience with non-EU regulatory frameworks, such as the UK, South Korea, Latin America, Africa
or the Middle East.
• Familiarity with botanicals, medicinal mushrooms, probiotics, enzymes or advanced delivery
systems.
• Experience building regulatory processes or documentation systems from the ground up.
