FPGA & DSP Engineer | £65-85k (DOE) | Hybrid | Cambridge

Are you ready to develop cutting-edge FPGA and DSP solutions for radar, communications, and advanced sensing technologies?

My client is a leading engineering consultancy delivering exceptional innovation across defence, communications, and sensing markets, with a strong focus on translating complex customer requirements into robust, real-world technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality FPGA and DSP designs, contributing across the full lifecycle from concept through to validation
• Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and project planning, including proposals and time estimates
• Engage with clients on a technical level, including pre-contract scoping discussions
• Work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams, potentially mentoring junior colleagues

Technical Requirements

• Strong HDL skills with the AMD Vivado toolchain
• Solid grounding in digital signal processing
• Experience targeting AMD (Xilinx) silicon, including Zynq SoC devices

Bonus Skills

• RF systems experience
• Familiarity with OpenCPI, STICS, or SOSA
• Prior consultancy experience
