SEND Teaching Assistant
Full-Time Immediate Start Initially Until Christmas Potential Extension Until Easter

Duties as a SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs within the classroom
- Work with individuals and small groups to support learning and engagement
- Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and classroom activities
- Support communication, social skills, and emotional wellbeing
- Implement strategies provided by the class teacher and SENDCo
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Previous SEND experience is essential
- Experience supporting children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, or learning needs is desirable
- Patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
