HGV 1 Driver – Stoke-on-Trent

Pertemps Crewe seeks an experienced HGV 1 Driver for ongoing temporary assignments at a busy Stoke depot. Based in Stoke-on-Trent, the successful candidate will safely load and unload cages containing letters and parcels, operate single and double-deck trailers, and manage pushing and pulling duties.

Competitive PAYE pay ranges from £21.44 to £24.57 hourly.

Regular block bookings begin 1st November.

Job Type: Regular, Ongoing.

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Pay rates: From £21.44 to £24.57 per hour (PAYE)

Hours: 10 – 12hour duties

Responsibilities

• Safely loading and unloading cages of letters and parcels
• Working with both single and double-deck trailers, with some pushing and pulling involved
• Average 10 – 12hour shifts
• Various start times as this is a 24-hour operation
• Weekend work is also required for this role

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years’ HGV Class 1 driving experience , with recent Class 1 work within the last 6 months
• A valid C+E licence , CPC card , and digital tachograph card
• A maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
