Senior Quality Analyst (Quality Assurance)

Overview

In this role you will drive quality performance within the Market Drayton dairy lab by applying robust analysis, expanding subject knowledge, and leading testing activities. You will support the development of Laboratory Technicians and strengthen the Quality Management System as part of the Quality Department. The position supports Muller’s commitment to safe, high‑quality dairy products through meticulous laboratory work and continuous improvement. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to uphold standards and accuracy in testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate laboratory testing in line with MTSs, including trials and surveillance
• Perform daily calibrations and controls, investigate and resolve issues
• Maintain an organized, clean laboratory environment with “clean as you go” practices
• Manage stock levels and rotation; prioritise workload effectively
• Maintain complete documentation (electronic or hard copy)

Key requirements

• Previous laboratory experience
• Competence in microbiological methods: Total Viable Count (Petrifilm) and Enterobacteriaceae (Petrifilm)
• Aseptic skills

• NIR technology (FOSS)
• Equipment calibration and maintenance
• Laboratory Accreditation standards (CLAS)
• Pipetting skills
• HACCP L2
• In-depth micro and dairy chemistry knowledge (Desirable)
