Overview
In this role you will oversee project financial performance and ensure compliant revenue recognition across Europe & Asia engagements. You will partner with Project Managers and Directors to forecast, analyse, and present financial risks and opportunities to senior leadership. You’ll set up and govern projects in the ERP system, maintain data integrity, and support contract management. You will help strengthen financial controls, support audits, and coach PMs on best practices. This role combines hands-on analysis with cross‑regional collaboration to drive solid financial governance.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret project financial performance with PMs and Directors
- Perform re-forecasts and cost-to-complete reviews to ensure accurate revenue recognition
- Provide actionable insights and variance analysis for decision-making
- Present monthly performance, risks, and opportunities to Senior Leadership
- Review contracts and set up projects in ERP per terms and internal controls
- Maintain project financial data through lifecycle (setup, amendments, variations, closure)
- Support revenue recognition alignment with standards and policies
- Prepare client billing and monitor aged debts; support WIP reduction and cash flow forecasting
- Lead or participate in financial reviews to identify risks and corrective actions
- Train PMs on financial processes, governance and compliance
- Support audits with documentation and strengthen financial controls
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed
Key requirements
- MBA, M.Com, CMA or equivalent finance qualification
- 4-5 years in project finance/control within service or consultancy
- Strong understanding of ASC606, IFRS, US GAAP
- Advanced MS Excel (Pivot, lookups, formulas, modelling)
- MS PowerPoint; Power BI an advantage
- Maconomy or similar ERP systems experience (strongly preferred)
- High numerical accuracy and strong analytical skills
- Experience in a matrix organisation across Europe/Asia/India
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Independent, deadline-driven with high attention to detail
