Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer of control panels based in the Westbury area. Due to the continued success they are looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join their small and experienced engineering team.It is anticipated the succesful candidate will have a good understanding of control panels and electrical systems, as well as experience using electrical CAD design packages.Electrical Design Engineer – Control Panels – Position OverviewProducing electrical schematics and control panel drawings using AutoCAD and Solidworks ElectricalDeveloping electrical designs and drawings for control panels and associated systemsIssuing accurate CAD drawings and technical information to the workshopWorking closely with the workshop team to ensure designs are practical and can be manufactured correctlyReviewing and updating drawings where requiredSupporting the design and manufacture of control panels from initial requirements through to completionUsing existing electrical and control-panel knowledge to identify and resolve design or manufacturing issuesDeveloping knowledge of the company’s products, systems and design processesElectrical Design Engineer – Control Panels – Position RequirementsPrevious experience working with control panels, panel wiring, electrical controls or electrical systemsGood practical understanding of electrical control panels and their componentsIdeally some previous experience producing or working from electrical schematics and drawingsAutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electricall experience or similar packages such as EPlanElectrical Engineering qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential where relevant practical experience is demonstratedStrong attention to detail and an accurate approach to technical workAble to work independently and take ownership of tasksGood communication skills, particularly when working with workshop and engineering teamsBased within a commutable distance of WestburyElectrical Design Engineer – Control Panels – Position RemunerationSalary: £32,000 – £36,000 per annum, depending on experienceFull-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00Training and development on AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks ElectricalOpportunity to develop within a growing specialist manufacturerHoliday allowanceWorkplace pensionBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
