Join a growing, fast-paced family business operating from our primary facility in Lisburn. Our operations include two busy Butchery & Food Halls alongside a Food Service division supplying premium hotels and restaurants throughout Northern Ireland. Our site features both a meat factory and a high volume production kitchen.
Main Duties:
- Monitoring and carrying out checks throughout the on-site factory and kitchen, including CCPs and temperature
- Accurately completing and monitoring of all required paperwork
- Verify and check all production sheets
- Enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices and hygiene rules in the factory/kitchen environments
- Investigate non-compliances and customer complaints, recording them appropriately and resolving issues identified.Manage relevant quality standards, e.g. HACCP to ensure food safety, statutory & Company standards are maintained.
- Actively seek to reduce complaints throughout the company
- Assess intake of goods to ensure they meet company specifications before moving into production
- Assist in preparations of customer visits, third party and internal audits
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
Qualification in Food Safety
- Knowledge of HACCP and other quality management systems
- Performance driven and customer oriented
- Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills without compromise to food safety or quality
- Previous experience in Quality Assurance, compliance or a similar role
Desirable Criteria:
- Qualifications in the areas of HACCP etc.
- Previous experience of meat sector
- Auditing experience
